Importing Posts

Importing posts is a powerful feature that makes it easy to migrate your existing feedback and ideas to Votonic. This guide will walk you through the process of importing posts to your board.

How to Import Posts

1. Navigate to your community's Board settings and select the board you want to import posts to.
2. Look for the "Import Posts" section
3. Click the "Import" button
4. Select your file to import (supported formats: CSV, XLSX)
5. Review the confirmation dialog showing the posts that will be imported
6. Click "Confirm Import" to complete the process

What Gets Imported

When you import posts, the following information will be transferred:

• Post titles
• Post descriptions
• Post vote counts
• Post status (e.g., planned, in progress, completed)

Import Confirmation

Before the import is completed, you'll see a confirmation dialog that shows:

• A preview of all posts that will be imported
• The number of posts being imported
• Any potential issues or warnings

This allows you to verify the data before proceeding with the import.

Tips for Importing

• Make sure your import file is properly formatted
• Large imports may take a few moments to complete
• You can cancel the import process at any time before confirming
